Job description

Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking casual Patient Watch Security Guards at one of our Healthcare Facilities located in the North York, ON area.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Full-time availability to work all days of the week, including afternoons, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer service-oriented attitude
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong record-keeping skills (memo books, incident reports, etc.)
• Keen observation skills and attentiveness
• Professional appearance and deportment
• Sound decision-making, reliability, good judgment, and common sense
• Ability to work well in a team
• Experience as a bouncer (clubs, malls) is an asset

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing outstanding customer service as a front-line representative of Regal Security
• Maintaining an organized environment
• Enforcing property rules and regulations to ensure safety
• Logging site equipment in and out
• Monitoring CCTV and access systems
• Responding to emergency situations (medical, etc.)
• Executing safety and emergency protocols during fire alarms and other emergencies
• Conducting patrols and inspections of facilities and equipment
• Following post orders specific to each site
• Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to health and safety procedures
• Performing additional duties as assigned
• Being available for on-call work as required by client needs

Qualifications include:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
• Valid WHMIS Certification
• Secondary School Diploma or higher (preference for Criminal Justice or Business post-secondary education)
• Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Office, Gmail) and adaptability to new systems
• Completion and passing of Use of Force training

Compensation:

• $18.00 per hour
• Health benefits available after 3 months of full-time employment
• Opportunity for full-time permanent positions when available
