Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario seeks a Patient Revenue Analyst to lead the development and oversight of revenue initiatives within the Patients' Accounts department across multiple sites. You will analyze revenue opportunities, coach stakeholders, and help implement strategies to improve billing and collections.

The role requires a post-secondary degree with at least 3 years in accounting (A/R) and familiarity with hospital systems (HRCM, Cerner).

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree.
• Minimum two (2) years related experience in an accounting environment with exposure to a range of basic accounting practices, procedures and principles.
• A minimum of 3 years Accounting Experience (specifically A/R).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Medical Insurance industry.
• Knowledge of Hospital systems (ie. HRCM, Cerner) preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated proficient use of Microsoft Word / Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analysis, development and recommendation of new strategies to assist in meeting revenue collection targets, as well as improvement and growth of existing processes.
• Maximize and identify revenue opportunities.
• Development and implementation of Presentations, forms and brochures targeted to key stakeholders.
• Coaching & training of Unit Co-ordinators and other stakeholders to keep them engage and informed in the process to improve revenue generation and collection.
• Escalation of patient billing / insurance issues.
• Data analysis.
