Job summary

BGIS in Markham, Ontario seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support the full accounting cycle across multiple portfolios. You will handle month-end close, revenue recognition, and ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

The role includes profitability analysis, forecasting support for revenue and margins, and ad hoc reporting for management. A university degree with CPA/CMA/CGA—or equivalent—plus 3–6 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years in public accounting or industry roles.
• University graduation or CPA/CMA/CGA or equivalent.
• Ability to explain accounting results to the team and internal customers.
• GAAP and revenue recognition knowledge applicable to project accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support month end close for multiple portfolios and reconcile ledgers.
• Prepare revenue recognition entries under percentage of completion.
• Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger to subledgers.
• Provide ad hoc reports and respond to financial inquiries.
