Under supervision, you will handle patient belongings, specimens, and supplies, while performing clerical and cleaning tasks as needed; reliable, compassionate teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist and transport patients, including deceased patients, their personal belongings, equipment, specimens and supplies within the hospital.
• Perform clerical, cleaning and tidying duties as directed by the supervisor.

Job description

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Patient Porter to fill a Casual position at the Ksyen Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position assists and transports patients including deceased patients, their personal belongings, equipment, specimens and supplies to and from various locations within the hospital in accordance with hospital and Northern Health policies and procedures. Reports to the professional staff patient observations and interactions, as appropriate. Performs clerical, cleaning and tidying duties.
