Job summary

St. Joe's Charlton Campus in Hamilton Downtown/Hamilton Mountain is seeking a Food Services Helper to join Patient Food Services on a part-time fixed-term basis. You will deliver meals, set up dining areas, and assist with meal preparation and service across campuses.

Candidates should have Grade 12 or equivalent, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a hospital setting. Food Handler Certificate is preferred; safety shoes are required and the environment includes cold spaces and hot

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Experience in institutional food service operation is an asset.
• Food Handler Certificate preferred.
• Must read/write/communicate in English and follow instructions.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift/move carts.
• Able to work independently and in a team; maintain neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and serve meals to patients and set up dining areas.
• Prepare, heat, and portion meals to patients.
• Operate microwave/convection ovens and dish washing equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards per HACCP.
• Assist with inventory and stocking as required.
• Transport meal carts and supplies between areas.
