Dawson Dental - Dentalcare Kingston is seeking a Dental Administrator to join our Kingston clinic. You will welcome patients, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression.
  • Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps.
  • Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations.
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts.

Schedule:
  • Full-Time
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

The wage for this Dental Administrator position is $19-$31 /hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:
  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
  • Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps
  • Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
  • Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts
  • Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments
  • Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner
About You:
  • Minimum 1 year of Dental Administration experience is required
  • Experience with dental software programs is required
  • Clinical background is considered an asset
