Job summary

Western Tractor Company Inc. is seeking a passionate Parts Technician to join our team in southern Alberta. You will assist customers at the parts counter, interpret diagnostics, and use inventory systems to locate the right parts for John Deere equipment.

A strong customer focus and teamwork will help you thrive in our fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include handling special orders, maintaining merchandising displays, promoting dealership specials, and ensuring every customer feels

Qualifications

  • Customer service focus with ability to understand needs and locate correct parts efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with customers and maintain professional image
  • Good time management and attention to detail for accurate part orders and displays
  • Problem solving skills to read diagnostics and drawings for precise orders
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and deliver parts as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at the parts counter by locating correct parts to keep operations running smoothly
  • Read and interpret diagnostics and technical drawings to ensure order precision
  • Navigate inventory systems to track and locate parts
  • Follow up on special orders and inform customers when parts arrive
  • Help create and maintain engaging merchandising displays and promote specials
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a welcoming atmosphere at all times

Customer Service Excellence: Assist customers at theparts counter by understanding their needs and efficientlylocating the correct parts to get them back up and running.

Master Diagnostics: Read and interpret partsdiagnostics, diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure precisionin every order.

Utilize Technology: Navigate computerizedinventory systems and parts libraries to track down the perfect part.

Handle Special Orders: Follow up on specialorders and keep customers informed as soon as their parts arrive.

Merchandising Support: Help create and maintaineye-catching merchandising displays that showcase our parts and promotions.

Promote Our Specials: Actively promotedealership specials and merchandising campaigns, boosting salesand customer satisfaction.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure every customerfeels valued and appreciated, creating a welcoming atmosphere atall times.

Requirements

Education: Journeyperson PartsTechnician designation or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2years' experience within a Parts department. Previous JohnDeere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.

People-Focused: Stronginterpersonal skills with experienceconnecting with customers whilemaintaining a professional image andestablishing rapport.

Soft Skills: Strong t imemanagement skills, ability to beadaptable, problem-solvingskills, and attention to detail.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift,carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods ofstanding and walking.

Valid Driver's License: You'll need thisfor parts deliveries.

Training and Development: We keep our team current byinvesting twice as much in training as any other John Deere dealerin Southern Alberta both inside and outside of our dealership.
