Job summary

Western Tractor Company Inc. is seeking a passionate Parts Technician to join our Taber-area team. You will help customers find the right parts, read diagrams, and use our inventory systems to ensure accurate, timely orders.

We value hands-on shop skills, 2+ years in a parts department, and a Journeyperson Parts Technician designation or equivalent experience. Benefits include paid time off, training, sponsorship opportunities, and a comprehensive health plan.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years in a Parts department.
• John Deere agricultural equipment experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the parts counter and locate the correct parts quickly.
• Read and interpret parts diagnostics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Navigate computerized inventory systems to track parts and orders.
• Follow up on special orders and keep customers informed on arrival times.
• Support merchandising efforts and promote dealership specials.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Customer Service Excellence: Assist customers at theparts counter by understanding their needs and efficientlylocating the correct parts to get them back up and running.

Master Diagnostics: Read and interpret partsdiagnostics, diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure precisionin every order.

Utilize Technology: Navigate computerizedinventory systems and parts libraries to track down the perfect part.

Handle Special Orders: Follow up on specialorders and keep customers informed as soon as their parts arrive.

Merchandising Support: Help create and maintaineye-catching merchandising displays that showcase our parts and promotions.

Promote Our Specials: Actively promotedealership specials and merchandising campaigns, boosting salesand customer satisfaction.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure every customerfeels valued and appreciated, creating a welcoming atmosphere atall times.

Requirements

Education: Journeyperson PartsTechnician designation or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2years' experience within a Parts department. Previous JohnDeere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.

People-Focused: Stronginterpersonal skills with experienceconnecting with customers whilemaintaining a professional image andestablishing rapport.

Soft Skills: Strong t imemanagement skills, ability to beadaptable, problem-solvingskills, and attention to detail.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift,carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods ofstanding and walking.

Valid Driver's License: You'll need thisfor parts deliveries.

Training and Development: We keep our team current byinvesting twice as much in training as any other John Deere dealerin Southern Alberta both inside and outside of our dealership.
