Job summary

Toyota Canada Inc. is seeking a Parts Supply Specialist on a 12-month contract to support forecasting, ordering and distribution of service parts in Bowmanville, ON.

This hybrid role reports to the Manager, Parts Supply and offers a competitive compensation package. The ideal candidate will have a degree in business or supply chain, 3+ years in inventory planning, strong Excel and SAP skills, and a proven ability to improve processes for efficiency.

Qualifications

  • College/University degree in business, operations management, supply chain, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferably three years’ related experience in inventory demand planning, operations, or similar discipline.
  • Knowledge of inventory forecasting and distribution required.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, and IBP forecasting, is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to initiate & improve processes to increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.
  • Monitor accessory and service parts sales and inventory levels, and conduct sales forecasts by leveraging the monthly vehicle forecast schedule provided by Sales and Inventory Planning.
  • Leverage Installation Rates and Vehicle production at model and suffix level to ensure just in time delivery of Port Installed Options & InLine accessories at vehicle processing centres and manufacturing plants.
  • Investigate and complete root cause analyses of supply disruptions and impacts to customer fill rate, develop counter measures to mitigate future inventory shortfalls.
  • Analyze TCI’s accessory inventory to identify current and future obsolescence obligations, create action plans and present opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Complete yearly PNC factor analysis for new model service parts to ensure parts availability during first 6 months of vehicle life cycle.
  • Prepare necessary files and complete tasks required for monthly forecasts and vendor purchase orders.
  • Partner with Development Team, Marketing Team, Sales Inventory Planning and other stakeholders on product launch readiness, backorder ETAs and other general inquiries.
  • Identify supply challenges and use Toyota Business Practices (Kaizen) to determine root cause and implement counter measures.
  • Maintain the integrity of all information in Parts Ordering System at the Part Number level.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly/monthly reports focusing on efficient inventory management.
  • Other duties as requested or required.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position $79,400 - $104,300. The salary offered will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
