Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate Magnum’s inventory software and learn its procedures.

• Monitor stock levels to ensure parts availability while minimizing excess inventory.
• Create purchase orders for all parts ordered.
• Maintain central parts inventory to support Magnum’s vehicle and equipment fleet.
• Handle stock, warehousing, identification, cataloguing, shipping, receiving, inspection and sorting.
• Provide information on inventory locations and quantities as needed.
• Stay current on parts knowledge and identify items for special orders.
• Process paperwork in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Equipment and Operations to supply correct parts.
• Align deadlines and daily needs with the Equipment team.
• Train new parts employees.
• Maintain HSE compliance and keep the warehouse clean.

POSITION SCOPE

Reporting to the Vice President, Maintenance & Facilities, the Parts & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for organizing and maintaining the centralized parts inventory required to support the Magnum vehicle and equipment fleet. This includes stock handling, warehousing, identifying and cataloguing parts, sourcing and ordering, shipping, receiving, inspecting and sorting. This person works closely with Operations, Purchasing, Mechanics, Welders, and Assembly teams. This role is considered to be safety-sensitive.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Parts & Inventory Coordinator

• Utilize Magnum’s inventory software program and learn its procedures.
• Ensure accurate data entry for purchase orders, work orders, costing, inventory and ordering.
• Monitor and maintain established stock levels to ensure parts availability while minimizing excess inventory.
• Ensure purchase orders are created for all parts ordered.
• Organize and maintain the central parts inventory required to support Magnum’s vehicle and equipment fleet.
• Aid and maintain all stock handling, warehousing, the identification and cataloguing of parts, shipping, and receiving, and the inspection and sorting process.
• Provide information as required regarding inventory, locations, and quantity.
• Maintain ongoing current parts knowledge, as well as which parts are in inventory, and which need to be specially ordered.
• Process paperwork in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Equipment and Operations Departments to ensure correct parts are supplied for various maintenance tasks.
• Work closely with the Equipment team to ensure deadlines and daily requirements are aligned.
• Train new parts employees.
• Maintain all HSE requirements and keep a high standard of housekeeping. Keep parts warehouse clean and organized.
• Identify gaps and communicate with team lead.
• Establish rapport and build new and existing vendor relationships, and internal employees by offering consistently high levels of customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required

• Proficient computer skills within Inventory Management Systems, Excel, Word, and Scanners.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing work demands.
• Ability to work overtime and travel.
• Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.

• Training in OHS including WHMIS, TDG, etc.
