Job summary

Summit Equipment & Repair in Salmo, BC is seeking a Parts Counter Person to support daily parts operations, sourcing and ordering parts, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role collaborates with technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure timely parts availability and a safe, organized workspace.

The position is on-site with a 4-on/3-off schedule, 10-hour day shifts Tue–Fri, with overtime possible. Benefits include boot and safety-glasses allowances and comprehensive safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, drivers, and technicians in sourcing and ordering parts.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and organize inventory and warehouse materials.
• Process orders, purchase orders, invoices, credits, returns, and warranty claims.
• Monitor inventory levels and support cycle counts and annual counts.
• Source parts from suppliers ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Track outstanding orders, backorders, and returns.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Keep the parts warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Promote safety policies and participate in training and improvements.
• Support a collaborative, customer-focused team aligned with core values.
