Job summary

Kicking Horse Ford in Golden, BC is hiring a Parts Consultant to be the main contact for customers and technicians seeking automotive parts. You will help customers locate parts, explain their function and price, and process parts orders while delivering friendly, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Previous parts experience in the automotive industry preferred.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate and select required parts in a friendly, professional manner.
• Order parts and provide information on function, price, application and warranty.
• Research availability of parts within the dealership or from other sources.
• Maintain communication with service and sales departments about parts on order.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to drive loyalty and referrals.
• Conduct regular parts inventory counts.
• Assist the Parts Department with other duties as required.

Kicking Horse Ford has an exciting opportunity for a career-orientated individual to join our team as a Parts Consultant.This role is the main point of contact in working with our customers and technicians to locate automotive parts they require. The successful candidate can expect to earn $21.63 to $26.44 per hour, based on experience.

What You'll Do as a Parts Consultant:

• Work with customers in selecting and locating required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner
• Order parts and provide information including their function, prices, application, and warranty
• Research the availability of parts either within the dealership or from other sources as necessary
• Maintain effective communication with the service and sales departments, keeping them informed of the status of parts on order
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
• Perform regular parts inventory counts
• Assist the Parts Department with other duties as required

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Previous parts experience in the automotive industry or a related industry is preferred
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills including the ability to listen and use tact, sensitivity, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with customers
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands
• High attention to detail and comfort in using technology for most day-to-day functions
• Ability to perform physical work, which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs
