Job summary

The Volunteer Centre of Calgary is seeking a Partnerships & Community Engagement Volunteer for a flexible remote role requiring excellent communication skills and a commitment to community engagement. The volunteer will assist with outreach, maintain partnerships, and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit engagement while receiving supportive mentorship and training throughout the commitment. Incentives include training opportunities and a certificate upon completion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to community organizations for collaboration.
  • Build and maintain a partnership tracking database.
  • Draft outreach emails with support from the Business Manager.

Partnerships & Community Engagement Volunteer

Is there any training involved?Yes, volunteers will receive 4 to 8 hours of training covering CareBridge's mission, communication best practices, documentation processes, and using relevant tools.What can the Volunteer expect?Volunteers will assist with outreach, make calls, follow up with clients and partners, and gain hands-on experience in social services. They will be mentored by staff and supported throughout the role, with flexibility and ongoing guidance.

Certification or Education Required

Education & Certifications:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.Post-secondary education in social work, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is an asset but not mandatory.Certifications in community engagement, marketing, or volunteer management are a bonus (e.g., Google Marketing certifications, HubSpot certifications, etc.).
