STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

OVERVIEW:
Are you passionate about marketing and education? We are looking for creative and driven volunteers to join our marketing committee to help promote and advertise our ground-breaking medical school for students ages 8-17. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in marketing, outreach, and communications while supporting an innovative educational initiative. Location:Remote – Work from anywhere with an internet connection.
Duration:4 months – From planning to event completion.
Hours per Week:Approximately 4 hours – Flexible, with virtual meetings and independent tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the medical school program.
  • Assist in creating digital content, including social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Engage with potential students and parents through online platforms and community outreach locally and worldwide.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance and suggest improvements.
  • Support event planning efforts for informational webinars and virtual open houses.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the volunteer team and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and creative writing skills.
  • Experience or interest in marketing, social media management, or advertising.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media platforms is an asset.
  • Passion for STEM education and outreach.
  • Commitment to 4 hours per week for the duration of the program.
