Job description

Partner Manager, Strategic Partnerships (Canada)

As a Partner Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you will drive commercial growth by developing and expanding strategic relationships across technology, channel, reseller, and API-driven partnerships. You will manage an established portfolio of partner accounts, identifying opportunities to increase platform adoption, grow revenue, and build sustainable business relationships. Working closely with senior partner stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will translate business objectives and technical requirements into actionable growth strategies. You will play a key role in helping partners integrate and scale advertising capabilities across white-label, reseller, API, and managed-service models. This remote opportunity sits within a growing strategic partnerships function and offers exposure to programmatic advertising, digital media, and AI-powered marketing technology. Your work will directly contribute to partner success, customer value, and revenue growth across North America.

Accountabilities
  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic partner accounts, focusing on increasing platform spend, identifying upselling opportunities, and developing sustainable growth plans.
  • Create proactive account strategies that outline partner priorities, revenue potential, risks, key stakeholders, and actionable next steps.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with partner stakeholders across Sales, Product, Operations, Marketing, and executive leadership to identify opportunities for collaboration and expansion.
  • Work closely with Business Development to manage partner handoffs after contracts are signed and partners are launched and ready to scale.
  • Support partners in incorporating platform capabilities into their own offerings through white-label, reseller, API, and managed-service models.
  • Translate partner business goals, technical workflows, and operational challenges into practical recommendations that increase adoption, campaign performance, and long-term revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce or other CRM systems, managing pipelines, forecasting revenue, tracking opportunities, and providing clear visibility into account activity.
  • Leverage internal platform capabilities, AI tools, and resources to streamline workflows, uncover insights, and improve account management efficiency.
  • Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities across different industries and partnership models, establishing structure and identifying clear paths forward.
  • Represent partner needs internally by communicating product feedback, operational challenges, and market opportunities to relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve partner performance, strengthen commercial relationships, and expand the value delivered through strategic alliances.
Requirements
  • Three to five or more years of experience in programmatic advertising, ad technology, digital media, partnerships, account management, client strategy, or enterprise sales.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, ideally with hands-on experience in demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), ad networks, reseller or channel partnerships, APIs, or technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and success in growing existing accounts through proactive upselling, stakeholder engagement, and strategic account planning.
  • Ability to understand technical products and integrations, ask insightful questions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Coding experience is not required.
  • Strong executive presence and confidence leading strategic business conversations with senior partner and client stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and account management skills, with the ability to manage a varied portfolio across multiple industries.
  • High ownership, curiosity, initiative, and follow-through, with the ability to identify untapped opportunities and independently develop and execute plans.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, track opportunities, and maintain account visibility.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity, synthesize data, automate repetitive tasks, and generate actionable partner insights.
  • Previous experience as an advanced or power user of a demand-side platform is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, adapt to evolving business needs, and balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Must be based in Canada for the Canadian compensation band and employment arrangement described for this role.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary ranging from CAD $129,600 to $178,200 for candidates based in Canada.
  • Potential additional compensation, depending on eligibility, including annual bonuses, commissions, and equity awards.
  • Comprehensive health benefits starting on the first day of employment.
  • Global retirement savings programs, including pension or retirement plan contributions where applicable.
  • Competitive paid time off packages, including a day off for your birthday.
  • Access to a comprehensive mental health care program.
  • Work-from-home reimbursements.
  • Optional global WeWork membership for employees seeking an alternative workspace, with hubs in London and Toronto.
  • Structured onboarding and training programs.
  • Support for personal and professional development, including conferences, courses, and books.
  • Access to programmatic advertising courses and certifications to support continued learning.
  • Parental leave program.
  • Friendly, welcoming, and supportive workplace culture.
