Job summary

Transdev (East Ferris Bus Lines) is hiring School Bus Drivers to service the Nipissing Student Transportation Service, covering Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek. Join a team that prioritizes student safety and community values and enjoy a flexible, part-time schedule.

You will transport children safely to and from school, perform pre/post-trip inspections, support bus cleanliness, and participate in training including First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Safety focused and customer-friendly.
• Must hold a minimum G-class driver’s license; B-class preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a clear criminal record check.
• Solid knowledge of Nipissing District and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently and handle split shifts as school transportation requires.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for interaction with students, parents, school staff, and the public.
• Must meet MTO medical standards for the required license.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school.
• Ensure student safety while boarding and exiting buses.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and assist with fueling as needed.
