Job summary

Transdev (East Ferris Bus Lines) is hiring School Bus Drivers for the Nipissing Student Transportation Service, serving Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek. This part-time role offers opportunities to positively impact the community by safely transporting students to and from school.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service, with training provided.

Qualifications

• You are safety focused.
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license; preference for B class.
• You are 21 years of age or over.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record.
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search.
• You have knowledge of Nipissing District and surrounding areas.
• You can work independently.
• You can work split shifts to meet school transportation needs.
• You possess strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication with passengers, parents, school staff, coworkers and public.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school.
• Ensure students' safety while boarding and exiting buses.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections for safety.
• Help fuel and maintain bus cleanliness.
