Job summary

First Student in Bowmanville, ON is seeking engaged Part-Time School Bus Drivers to safely transport students before and after school. Training is provided to help you become a skilled, professional driver, with opportunities for field trips and events.

A 21+ age minimum and a valid G license are required for this role. Enjoy flexible part-time hours, casual dress, on-site parking, employee assistance, and a strong community impact as you help students start and end their day with a trustworthy

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid G license for at least 1 year.
Part-time schedule with summers off.
Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergencies).
Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
