Job summary

Voyago is recruiting School Bus Drivers for Ottawa West locations to transport students safely to and from school. The role requires handling a split shift (morning and afternoon) around the local school coverage area.

Drivers must hold a valid Ontario G license (B preferred), be 21+, and pass a vulnerable sector check with a clean driving record. Training includes a driving skills and radio assessment, with opportunities for additional hours on charters.

Job description

Voyago is currently recruiting to fill an existing vacancy for School Bus Drivers for our Ottawa locations. (Stittsville, Dunrobin, Kanata, Barrhaven, Nepean and west end of Ottawa)

This is a split shift (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon) so being CLOSE to our school coverage area is essential.

Your role:

• You are responsible for safely transporting what we call "the most precious cargo" to and from school
• Ensure students' safety while boarding and exiting buses
• Be responsible for performing pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety

Requirements

Your profile

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full Ontario G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You possess clean driving record and criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• You have a sound knowledge of the Ottawa West region and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You are available for the required split shifts of 4-5 hours total, that could run: Monday - Friday between 6:30am - 9:30am and 1:30pm - 5pm
• You possess solid communication skills. There will be a pre-hire driving skills and radio communication assessment
