Voyago is hiring a School Bus Driver in Halton for the 2026/2027 school year. Join a team that keeps students moving safely, with a supportive work environment and a role where every route makes a difference.

We are currently seeking 1 Part-Time Driver in the Milton area. You will transport students, prioritize safety, complete inspections, and report to ensure a safe, reliable service. Training is provided at no cost and shifts are Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused and able to work independently.
• Possess a valid full G license for at least 1 year (B or E preferred).
• 21 years of age or older.
• Clean driving record; able to obtain vulnerable sector check.
• Sound knowledge of Halton area.
• Comfortable driving large vehicles and in various weather.
• Basic computer skills; can navigate Google Maps.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school daily.
• Prioritize student safety at all times.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bus.
• Complete daily Hours of Service reports and documentation.
• Report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Address student behaviour according to procedures.
• Participate in ongoing safety training.

We are currently seeking 1 Part-Time Driver in the Milton area!

Your role:

• Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
• Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers

Requirements

Your profile:

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year (preference will be given to those with a B class licence)
• If you don't currently hold a B or E Class licence, Voyago has you covered, full training is provided at no cost to you!
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• You have sound knowledge of Halton and surrounding area
• You have the ability to work independently
• You are available for the required shifts:
• Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:15am AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
• You possess solid communication skills
• You enjoy being around children with disabilities of all ages
• You are physically capable of bending, twisting and getting low to the ground to secure wheelchairs
• You are comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
• You are comfortable driving large vehicles
• You have basic computer skills and can easily navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit

Hourly Rate:

By joining the Voyago Schools team, you'll find we offer competitive hourly pay!

• Your hourly rate will be $22.20 per hour!

We also offer:

• FREE drivers licence upgrade training
• You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily shift
• Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours
• We offer routes within Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo!
• Our full time comprehensive benefit package is available if you work 30+ hours or more per week

Your Location:

• Drivers should be located in the Halton area as the route will start and end in this location
• Got a driveway with some extra space? You can park your bus at home for the school year!
• No space? No problem. We also have a few park-out locations so your ride is never too far away!
