Job summary

Kin's Farm Market in New Westminster, BC, is hiring a Part Time Sales Associate to join our team at Unit 116 - 610 6th Street. You will greet customers, answer questions, and help create a friendly shopping atmosphere while promoting our fresh and healthy products.

You will operate cash registers, manage stock displays, and assist with product sampling and promotions. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and a willingness to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and strong communication.
• Ability to memorize PLU codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Food Safe Training is an asset.
• First Aid Training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and creating a friendly shopping atmosphere.
• Operating cash registers, point of sale equipment and processing transactions.
• Ensuring displays are full and shelves stocked with quality products.
• Promoting products through sampling and promotions.</br>Note: promotions may include cooking demonstrations if required.
• Resolving customer complaints and supply shortages.
• Receiving, unloading and unpacking products per company procedures.

As a Sales Associate, your responsibilities are:

• Maintaining the company and store image according to Kin's policies and procedures;
• Greeting customers and creating a friendly shopping atmosphere;
• Providing information to customers and answering their questions and inquiries about products, procedures or policies;
• Operating cash registers, point of sale equipment and other equipment for processing transactions;
• Ensuring displays are full at all times and shelves are stocked with good quality products in all sections;
• Promoting products, such as seasonal items or specials, by performing product promotions to customers through sampling (and cooking demonstration, if required) and closes the sale;
• Resolving problems that may arise such as customer complaints and supply shortages;
• Receiving, unloading and unpacking products and counting, weighing and sorting them according to company receiving procedures.
