Job summary

Kin's Farm Market in Langley, BC is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to maintain store image, assist customers, and process transactions. You will greet shoppers, answer questions, stock shelves, and support promotions.

This role requires good customer service, the ability to lift 50 lb boxes, and basic cash register operation. Training in Food Safe or First Aid is an asset, and profit-sharing and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to memorize PLU codes.
• Lift 50 lbs. boxes periodically throughout the day.
• Food Safe Training is an asset.
• First Aid Training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the company and store image according to Kin's policies and procedures;
• Greeting customers and creating a friendly shopping atmosphere;
• Providing information to customers and answering their questions about products, procedures or policies;
• Operating cash registers, point of sale equipment and other equipment for processing transactions;
• Ensuring displays are full at all times and shelves are stocked with quality products;
• Promoting products and specials by sampling or cooking demonstrations and closing the sale;
• Resolving problems such as customer complaints and supply shortages;
• Receiving, unloading and unpacking products and counting, weighing and sorting them.

• Maintaining the company andstore image according to Kin's policies and procedures;

• Operating cash registers, pointof sale equipment and other equipment for processing transactions;

• Promoting products, such as seasonal items or specials, by performing product promotions to customersthrough sampling (and cooking demonstration, if required) and closes thesale;
• Resolving problems that mayarise such as customer complaints and supply shortages;
• Receiving, unloading andunpacking products and counting, weighing and sorting them according tocompany receiving procedures.
