Job summary

St. Joe's Charlton Campus in Hamilton Downtown is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for part-time shifts in General Internal Medicine.

You will provide nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with RNs to ensure safe, high-quality care for a diverse patient population in acute and geriatric settings. The role requires current Ontario nursing registration, appropriate PN education including IV administration, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• Education in Practical Nursing with IV administration is required or certificate options listed in the posting.
• Current BCLS/HCP certification is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and health care team.
• Ability to set priorities and organize work.
• Familiarity with transfers and lifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to promote health and assist with treatment.
• Monitor patients and escalate changes in acuity to RN as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient information.
