Job summary

The Beer Store in Kingston, Ontario is hiring Part-Time Retail Staff to serve customers daily, process payments, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic teammates who share our passion for customer service and pride in working in a unionized environment at a Kingston location.

Role requires completion of high school or GED, at least 1 year of retail experience, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High School completion required or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of consecutive retail experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg) and stand for 2+ hours.
• Comfortable using a computer and available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers daily and process payment transactions.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for one of our Kingston, Ontario stores. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

Location

A Retail Location in Kingston, ON.

What You'll Be Doing

• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions


• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided


• Perform other related duties as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more then 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time


• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift


• Able to perform basic computer functions


• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $18.30 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
