Job summary

Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario is seeking an experienced part-time professor to teach in the Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences program. Candidates must hold a PhD in psychology; an EdD with Applied Behaviour Analysis or a Masters with ABA specialization is also acceptable.

BCBA certification or registration as a Behaviour Analyst (Ont) is required to teach the program. Part-time faculty teach up to 6 hours per week with variable schedules, Monday to Thursday 8:00–21:00 and Friday

Position Information

Durham College is seeking an experiencedand motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and studentsuccess. To teach in the Honours Bachelor of Behavoural Sciences, the Facultyof Social and Community Services requires part-time professors to hold a PhD inpsychology; an EdD with specialization in Applied BehaviourAnalysis or a Masters with a specialization in AppliedBehaviour Analysis.
In addition, Applicants must also be certified as aBCBA or must be a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont) to teachinthe Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Science program.
The following courses are available fordelivery:
SOCI 26001 - Acquired Brain Injury
Part-time faculty teach up to 6 hours per week with varied schedulesMonday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm and Fridays between 8:00 amand 6:00 pm. Part-time recruitment is ongoing and is dependent on when coursesare being taught and the need for faculty to teach. Course assignments arebased on scheduling and instructional needs.
Academic starting wages are determined based on qualifications andyears of related experience. Upon hire, the incumbent will receive a paycalculation to determine their 'step' placement within the pay range. Part-timeprofessors will be paid on the applicable wage grid, which currently rangesfrom $80.62 through $139.88 per teaching contact hour.
