Job summary

Calmo, a new neighbourhood bakery café and wine bar opening near Dundas West / Ossington, is hiring part-time line cooks to join the opening team.

You will prepare and cook menu items, complete prep, plate dishes per Calmo standards, and keep a clean, organized workstation in a small kitchen.

Pay is $17.60-$19.00 per hour; schedule ~14–20 hours weekly; benefits include staff meals, discounts, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred.
• Small kitchen experience and ability to manage station independently.
• Reliable, punctual, clean, and organized in work habits.
• Ability to follow recipes and plating standards with consistency.
• Calm and focused during service; good communication with team.

Calmo is a new neighbourhood bakery café and wine bar opening near Dundas West / Ossington.

We’re building a warm, thoughtful space focused on in-house baked goods, simple food, good coffee, wine, and genuine hospitality.

We’re currently hiring Part-Time Line Cooks to join our opening team.

Calmo has a small, streamlined kitchen focused on simple, well-executed food. We’re looking for people who work cleanly and efficiently, are reliable, and are comfortable managing their station while working alongside our kitchen lead.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items during service


• Complete daily prep and mise en place


• Plate dishes consistently according to Calmo’s standards


• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines


• Maintain a clean and organized workstation

Who You Are

Schedule

Approximately 14–20 hours per week, depending on availability.

Schedules may rotate between team members.

Some flexibility to cover additional shifts when another team member is unavailable is.
