Job summary

CBI Health in Calgary's Momentum Health - Evidence Sport and Spine unit is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include blood draws, PRP processing, room prep, patient identity checks, infection control, and collaboration with a physician to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Start date as soon as possible; compensation $20–$25 per hour; four days per month, 9am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant or Phlebotomy program.
• CSMLS certification or equivalent credential preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of infection control and laboratory safety procedures.
• Professional, adaptable, and comfortable in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and spin PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma).
• Prepare and clean rooms and trays before and after procedures.
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide reassurance and excellent patient care during procedures.
• Collaborate closely with a medical doctor.
