Job summary

CBI Health in Calgary, AB is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join Evidence Sport and Spine. This on-site role offers four days per month from 9am to 4pm, with compensation of $20 to $25 per hour.

You will perform blood draws, prepare rooms, and ensure strict infection control while delivering excellent patient care in a collaborative clinic. The ideal candidate completes an accredited phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Assistant program, holds CSMLS certification if possible, and has 1–2 years

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant or Phlebotomy program.
• CSMLS certification or equivalent credential preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and spin PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma).
• Prepare and clean rooms and trays before and after procedures.
• Make follow-up calls between patient appointments.
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide reassurance and excellent patient care during procedures.

The clinic develops and runs evidence-based programs such as our Urgent Back Pain Clinic, Concussion Clinic and Clinical Assessment Unit. Our team of Physiotherapists, Physiatrists, Physicians and Nurse Practitioner collaborate in further learning and social events.
