Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or related healthcare experience.
• ECG training or experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect required information, explain the specimen collection process.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect Holter monitors, 24-hour BP monitoring, and ECG tracings.
• Perform special test collections and complete related documentation.
• Maintain client relationships, including responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
• Complete data entry of patient demographics, requisition information, and other processing data.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
