Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join Picton Clinic Pharmacy in Picton, ON. Schedule includes Monday and Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, with evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

You will support pharmacists and technicians, greet customers, enter and label prescriptions, and help with inventory, clerical tasks, and daily operations. A pharmacy assistant program is preferred, and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program preferred.
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsabilités

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Enter, label, and package prescriptions under supervision
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supplies, monitor inventory and rotate stock
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; dispose of expired meds and hazardous waste properly
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
