Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join the team at Pharmasave Spears & Mcleod in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The role supports pharmacists, greets customers, assists with prescriptions, and helps with inventory and daily operations.

Ideal candidates will have a pharmacy assistant program or relate experience, strong communication, and organizational skills, plus basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll software. Evening and weekend availability is valued.

Formación

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner.
• Enter, label, and package prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols.
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits.
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste.
