Job summary

Pet Valu Canada Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking a Sales Associate to help Pet Parents find the right products and provide excellent service. You will join a team of Pet Experts dedicated to pets and their families.

Responsibilities include cashiering, stocking, order preparation, and maintaining store cleanliness. Flexible scheduling, weekend/evening shifts, and staff discounts are provided to support your growth in a leading pet retailer.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Reliable means of transportation to and from the store.
• Flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings.
• Working knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area of the store
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and putting these into stock (items up to 50 lbs.)
• Other duties and tasks as required
