Job summary

Pet Valu in Calgary, AB is hiring a Sales Associate to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and pet-care solutions. You’ll join a team of Pet Experts and provide friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Wage: $15.80 per hour. Duties include cashiering, stocking, merchandise preparation, and store maintenance. Flexible scheduling and staff discounts are among the perks offered to support you as you grow with a leading North American pet retailer.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings as scheduled.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items (up to 50 lbs).
• Other duties and tasks as required.
