New West Truck Centres is seeking a Payroll Advisor to support our Western Canada payroll needs. This part‑time role will focus on accurate, on‑time processing for approximately 300 employees across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience for 300+ employees
• Professional payroll certification (PCP, CPM, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards
• Experience processing payroll across multiple branches or provinces
• Strong Excel skills for analysis and reconciliation
• High attention to detail and ability to meet bi-weekly deadlines
• Ability to work independently with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for ~300 employees across Western Canada branches
• Calculate regular wages, overtime, stat pay, vacation pay, commissions, bonuses, and premiums
• Administer deductions, RRSP contributions, garnishments, and non-routine earnings
• Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with provincial and federal legislation
• Manage leaves for trades employees
• Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries
• Prepare and submit Records of Employment
• Support year-end reporting including T4s
• Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits
• Respond to payroll inquiries professionally
• Coordinate with HR and branch leadership for data accuracy and policy interpretation
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes
• Support occasional accounting tasks (reconciliations and journal entries)
