Job summary

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre invites applications for an Online Learning Facilitator at Kamsack Comprehensive Institute. This permanent, part-time role (6 hours per day) supports students in an online delivery model from a high school setting.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Online Teachers and school staff, monitor student progress, and help students stay on task while providing empathetic support and timely communication with teachers.

Qualifications

• Work independently in an online delivery model.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to establish rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Seeks support when needed (school staff) and advocate for students.
• Collaborate with Online Teachers, Student Support Teachers, school-based administrators, campus principals or support staff.
• Update student pace/progress tools and monitor progress and grades.
• Encourage students to communicate with their teachers and stay on task.
• Travel to placement locations and supervise work-based placements as required.
