Job summary

Kingston Health Sciences Centre in Windsor Amherstview Site is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Services team. The role provides inpatient and outpatient OT services, including assessment, planning, and education to promote functional independence during hospital stays and transition to community care.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in Ontario.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to make sound professional decisions in a complex interprofessional environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families and team.
• Proficient with computer applications (email, internet, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Review referrals for appropriateness and prioritization.
• Provide assessment, treatment and education to patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to promote functional independence.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team and contribute to discharge planning.
• Supervise OT assistants and students; document according to standards.
