Job summary

Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the Kingston General Hospital site in a part-time daytime position. The NP will provide autonomous clinical care, order tests, prescribe within scope, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires RN in the Extended Class with a MSc in Nursing or related field and active professional membership; strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as RN in the Extended Class.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Professional association membership (CNA/RNAO/NPAO) is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Ability to educate staff, patients and families and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to ED patients appropriate for primary care settings.
• Diagnose, order/interpret tests, prescribe in scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to support patient care.
• Lead and participate in practice guidelines, policies and quality improvement.
