Job summary

Cogir Senior Living's Windsor Park in Ottawa is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to carry out routine repairs on electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, perform light painting and carpentry, and help maintain exterior grounds. The role emphasizes safety, resident relations, and adherence to facility policies.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will inspect premises, track costs, and support housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
Must be capable of performing physical duties including movement of heavy objects.
Familiar with and able to perform minor repairs to facility and equipment.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, water, gas, mechanical, plastering and painting.
Ability to manage budget and track costs for work performed.

Responsibilities

Execute routine repairs and minor maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing equipment and building.
Paints, performs minor carpentry and maintains exterior grounds.
Regularly inspects the premises for safety and maintenance, reports findings to supervisor.
Supports housekeeping and maintenance duties as required and acts in a role of trust with residents.
