Job summary

AgeCare Shawnee is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Regular Part Time role in Calgary, AB. You will join an inter-professional team and provide planned, patient-centered nursing care following provincial standards.

This position reports to the Director of Care and aims to deliver high-quality care to residents. Responsibilities include care assessments, care/service plan management, and medication administration, with emphasis on collaboration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license and good standing in the province.
• 3+ years of experience in seniors’ health.
• Current CPR training.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrates leadership, coaching and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and medication/treatment administration per policies and procedures.
• Complete and document resident clinical assessments and care/service plans; monitor and update as needed.
• Implement and evaluate care/service plans and communicate changes.
• Assist with scheduling resident care conferences and participate in meetings.
• Collaborate with Director of Care to coordinate moves, transfers and admissions.
