Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our South Terrace location in Edmonton. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will deliver goal-directed, patient-focused nursing care in line with provincial standards and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role involves assessments, care planning, medication administration, and supporting residents’ transitions. A current LPN registration in Alberta, CPR/First Aid, and experience in long-term care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration as LPN in the applicable province.
• Experience in senior or long-term care is preferred.
• Education in gerontology, rehabilitation, or complex/community care is an asset.
• Strong clinical knowledge and care coordination skills.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management abilities.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office.
• Completion of a current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications per policies.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and update care plans.
• Conduct resident assessments and document findings accurately.
• Support transitions including admissions and discharges.
• Educate residents and families about health conditions and plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and other providers to optimize care.
