Job summary

The City of Yellowknife is hiring part-time Lifeguards with the Community Services Department. You will focus on patron safety, pool supervision, and excellent customer service, with potential responsibilities in Lifeguard/Instructor swimming lessons.

Qualifications include a National Lifeguard Award, Standard First Aid with CPR-C, and the ability to pass the Building Standards Exam, plus strong customer service skills. An additional Lifesaving Society Instructor Award is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Award and/or Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor Award (Lifeguard/Instructor).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the pool and ensure patron safety.
• Provide high quality customer service to residents and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and participate in in-service training.
• Carry out regular checks of change rooms and the guard area.
