Job summary

Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Cook to join our hotel kitchen team. You will prepare menu items for restaurant and banquet service, follow recipes, and maintain high quality and cleanliness.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of hotel/kitchen experience, basic to intermediate cooking techniques, and a valid Food Handler Certification, with strong teamwork and the ability to work flexible shifts in Canada.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of kitchen experience, preferably in hotel, banquet, or high-volume environment.
• Basic to intermediate cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking) and knife skills.
• Valid Food Handler Certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items for restaurant and banquet service in accordance with standards.
• Support assigned kitchen stations during prep and service, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Monitor food quality, including taste, temperature, freshness, and presentation.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
