Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

We are looking for up to eight (8) part-time instructors for ~60 hours each over the winter 2027 term.

Drawing on the reasoning and practice skills and the knowledge developed in previous and concurrent courses, OCCU 5022 Neurotherapeutics 1 will introduce students to the neurological aspects of occupational therapy practice. Applying knowledge across the practice process will be emphasized. Lectures will build on learning from OCCU 5014 and OCCU 5018 to address neurological conditions, assessments and interventions. Integrating knowledge and skills across courses this term is expected.

Under the guidance of the Course Instructor and Lab Coordinator, each part‑time instructor will tutor and evaluate groups of students using problem and case‑based learning in Occupational Therapy Skills Labs. Instructors will be required to be on‑site on Thursdays from 12:30‑3:00 pm, and may be required to attend on‑site special events labs or exams on alternative days with advanced notice. Other off‑site preparation, marking and/or office hours may also be required. Instructors are required to attend an orientation session prior to the academic term (to be scheduled). As time permits, other duties may be required to assist with lab preparation and/or delivery.
