Job summary

Conestoga College is seeking part-time instructors to teach Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR courses. Instructors will deliver intermediate first aid and CPR instruction, establish clear learning outcomes, and use varied teaching methods to meet course standards and training requirements.

Classes run weekends at the Doon campus in Kitchener and may also be offered in Guelph and Milton. Weekend availability is required; applications reviewed bi-weekly by the hiring team.

Qualifications

• Current Certification with the Canadian Red Cross as an Instructor.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Able to create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles.

Position Summary

Part-Time position

The School of Continuing Education is currently seeking qualified Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructors to instruct Intermediate First Aid and CPR courses.

Instructors are responsible for establishing clear learning outcomes and using a variety of teaching methods to ensure students satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.

Conestoga College provides all necessary equipment, cleaning supplies, and documentation records. Candidates must have weekend availability to teach classes running Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Courses are offered primarily at the Doon campus located at 299 Doon Valley Dr. in Kitchener but also in Guelph and Milton.
