Job summary

Conestoga College in Kitchener is seeking Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructors to teach Intermediate courses on weekends. Instructors establish learning outcomes and use varied methods to meet course standards and objectives.

Campus courses run Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., primarily at the Doon campus (299 Doon Valley Dr.). Some sessions may be held in Guelph and Milton; applications are reviewed bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Current Certification with the Canadian Red Cross as an Instructor.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities; capable of organizing and leading classroom activities.

Position Summary

Part-Time position

The School of Continuing Education is currently seeking qualified Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructors to instruct Intermediate First Aid and CPR courses.

Instructors are responsible for establishing clear learning outcomes and using a variety of teaching methods to ensure students satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.

Conestoga College provides all necessary equipment, cleaning supplies, and documentation records. Candidates must have weekend availability to teach classes running Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Courses are offered primarily at the Doon campus located at 299 Doon Valley Dr. in Kitchener but also in Guelph and Milton.

• Evaluate student progress/achievement, assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within the assigned course and maintain records as required
