Job summary

LCI Education is seeking a dynamic instructor for the Architectural Technology Program at its Montreal campus. The role involves planning and delivering engaging course sessions that promote student success while integrating innovative technologies.

Candidates should possess a relevant degree and two years of experience in the architecture or construction sectors, along with fluency in French and proficiency in English.

Laissez-passer will also be considered as valuable qualifications.

Skills
  • Architectural design and project development;
  • Technical drawing and graphic representation (2D and 3D);
  • Specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign);
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) and emerging digital tools;
  • Construction systems: wood, steel, concrete and masonry;
  • Materials, building envelope and building mechanics;
  • Quebec Construction Code, Building Standards, Laws and Regulations;
  • Cost estimation, project management and site supervision;
  • Renovation, rehabilitation and survey of buildings;
  • Sustainable development, energy efficiency and sustainable building.

Location

LaSalle College - Montreal Campus and/or Laval Campus

Responsibilities
  • Plan course sessions in line with the objectives of the program and the targeted skills;
  • Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;
  • Design formative and summative assessments according to the competency-based approach;
  • Correct evaluations and ensure constructive feedback from students;
  • Offer personalized follow-up to students and promote their academic success;
  • Be available to meet the educational needs of students outside of class hours;
  • Integrate artificial intelligence technologies and tools into teaching practices;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the program and departmental activities;
  • This role involves frequent interactions with international students and team members.
Requirements
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building engineering, civil engineering or a related field;
  • Have two (2) years of relevant experience in the architecture, construction or building sector;
  • Proficiency in specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and generative AI tools (GenAI);
  • Have taught a full course in the last five (5) years (asset); be a member of the OAQ or the OTPQ or in the process of becoming one;
  • Fluency in the French language (oral and written);
  • Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written).
