Job summary

Oxford Learning Waterloo Eastbridge is seeking part-time teacher-tutors in Waterloo, Ontario for after-school and evening sessions (3:00pm–8:00pm) and occasional Saturdays. Applicants should be able to commute to the centre and be available until June 30, 2027. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory and relocation is not offered.

The role focuses on high school math and science, with classes for up to three students at a time, using Oxford Learning methodologies. Salary is CAD 19–20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Third year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of Grades 11-12 math and science curriculum, including Calculus and Physics/Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time in-person at different levels.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post-lesson notes and daily student updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
