Job summary

Oxford Learning Burlington Appleby-Dundas is hiring part-time teacher-tutors to work after school and some Saturdays. Roles involve in-person teaching at a Burlington location, with pre-planned lessons and full training in Oxford Learning's methods.

Ideal candidates balance reliability with enthusiasm for helping Grades 9–12 math and science students.) Responsibilities include guiding up to three students, both online and in-person, completing notes, and maintaining professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Knowledge of current Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, biology.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Teach online and in-person.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post-lesson notes.
• Complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner.
