Job summary

Oxford Learning Coquitlam is seeking a part-time high school math/science teacher to join our Coquitlam learning centre. This in-person role requires commuting to the Coquitlam location and delivers Oxford Learning methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, strong English communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple students in a multi-level setting; vulnerability sector screening is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of grades 9-12 math and science curricula.
• Experience teaching or tutoring grades 9-12.
• Strong written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously at different levels.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post-lesson notes and daily student communications updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner.
• Teach both in-person and online sessions (if required).

Part‑Time High School Math/Science Teacher

Oxford Learning Coquitlam – Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Employment Type: Part‑Time
Salary Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Evenings (Monday to Friday), Saturdays (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), and some evenings (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

Position Overview

Oxford Learning is a Canadian supplemental education provider. We are seeking a part‑time teacher‑tutor to work at our learning centre in Coquitlam. The role is in‑person and requires the ability to commute; relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

• Must be able to commute to the Coquitlam location.
• Commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred and continuing through summer is even better.
• Reliable and punctual in all scheduled shifts.
• No online work; this is an in‑person role.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously at different levels.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

• Experience teaching or tutoring students at grades 9‑12 (or equivalent).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students simultaneously.
