Job summary

Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights seeks part-time teacher-tutors to support high school math and science learners after school. The role involves in-person sessions, Wednesday through Friday after 3pm and occasional Saturdays, with a focus on building confidence and academic skills.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or are university students with tutoring experience, strong math knowledge (Grades 8–12, Pre-Calc, Physics, Chemistry), and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferred
  • University students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 8–12 math including Pre‑Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry
  • Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 8–12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post‑lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

High School Math and Science Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our Learning Centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‐Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school hours starting at 3pm Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays. Hours are based on what is needed at the Centre on any given day. The role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferred

Experience
  • Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 8–12 (or equivalent) level
